Founded in 2013 , Canada Jetlines an was originally developed as a charter airline to get to sunny destinations in the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean on a smaller budget. But various reasons kept the airlines away from taking off , untill 2021 end atleast !
Funding , Covid-19 Pandemic , being acquired by Global X , suing Breeze Airways were among the prominent reasons , that kept the promising Airline away from the skies .
But , it kept pushing it's agenda saying ,
Canada Jetlines is the all-Canadian airline who is all about value. We’re the little guy that sticks up for the other little guys, and we do it by being bold and frank. We’re just honest about flying. Because we value travel.
But Today's reality is, Canada Jetlines, that promised to launch a low-cost airline in the past years , has taken delivery of its first aircraft , a 2010 built Airbus A320-214 aircraft , that will be registered as C-GCJL.
Prior to Jetlines, the narrow body aircraft fitted with two CFMI CFM56-5B4/P engines , with manufacturer’s serial number 4175, was previously a part of the fleet of Pegasus ( Regd. TC-DCJ) and Avianca ( Regd. N417AV). The aircraft has been painted in Canada Jetlines livery in Shannon.
