Already with a Fleet of 27 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, airBaltic receives yet another brand new Aircraft from Aviation Capital Group LLC (“ACG”) , a leading aircraft asset manager, on a long-term lease agreement.
This aircraft is ACG’s fourth A220 aircraft to be leased by ACG to airBaltic as part of a sale and leaseback transaction (SLB) between ACG and the airline.
Current Aircraft Specification : Airbus A220-300, Air Baltic, C-FUOQ, YL-ABC (MSN 55127) , Engines - Two PW PW1524G-3.
For us A B C is not as easy as 1 2 3, because YL-ABC is already the fourth @Airbus A220-300 aircraft we’ve received this year! We can’t wait for three more to join our fleet in 2021 to continuously offer our passengers a brand new aircraft experience! ✈️ pic.twitter.com/CGIkGBbrpV

Built from the ground up for unrivalled passenger comfort and significantly improved in-flight crew working conditions, the Airbus A220 sets new standards in economy and environmental sustainability with its state-of-the-art technologies.
Reduced emissions, noise and fuel burn open up possibilities that are much more than just technical tickboxes, including flying to airports where other aircraft cannot.
The world’s leanest, most economical aircraft wasn’t created by tweaking – it was purpose-designed and built from the ground up. Created with the perfect balance of proven methods, materials and cutting-edge technology, the Airbus A220 is now the most efficient aircraft in the skies.
Entirely purpose-built and specifically designed for the 100- to 150-seat travel segment with cost-saving advantages built right in – as a result, the Airbus A220 aircraft is up to several tons lighter than its competitors. And with 20% fuel burn advantage.
The Airbus A220 aerodynamics were designed for optimal performance and reduced drag, and less drag means less fuel is burnt.
Along with optimized wing aerodynamics and integrated 3-axis fly-by-wire controls, this greatly contributes to the 20% fuel burn advantage of the Airbus A220 family.
The aircraft is equipped with Pratt & Whitney PurePower® PW1500G engines, specifically designed for the Airbus A220 family.
Boasting one of the highest by-pass ratios (12:1) among turbofan engines in the world, the PW1500G delivers reduced emissions, reduced noise and reduced fuel burn, which means greener flights and less noise pollution.
The Airbus A220 flight deck sets new standards for others to follow. With large LCD displays, dual flight management with optimized control and display functions and plenty of other forward-thinking features it provides an integrated avionics experience that increases pilot situational awareness and reduces workload.
The Airbus A220 also runs the world's first electric braking system, developed by Meggitt PLC. Electric brakes increase braking efficiency and reduce wear. Braking force is applied evenly, making landing gentler for passengers.
Aviation Capital Group was founded in 1989 and is one of the world’s premier full-service aircraft asset managers with over 400 owned, managed and committed aircraft as of June 30, 2021, which are leased to approximately 85 airlines in approximately 40 countries. ACG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyo Century Corporation.
