The US-Bangla airlines, Bangladesh's largest private air carrier, have added two more Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet, stretching its Boeing B737 fleet to six and the total planes to 16.
Started their flying career with Spicejet , India , the aircraft LZ-DBR and LZ-DBP, both 8 years Old , have been leased from the DAE capital, Dubai , were stored at Amman - Jordan prior to the delivery.
Both the whitewashed aircraft, were also operated by SunExpress for Anadolu Jet from 2015 as TC-SCK and TC-SCL till August 2021 after completing the re-delivery process from SpiceJet , India.
The Us-Bangla Airlines, is also going to start flights from Dhaka to Colombo, Sharjah, and Delhi route with these two newly inducted Boeing 737-800 aircraft that have 189 economy class seats.
The two aircraft landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) here at 11:00 PM and 11:30 PM yesterday directly from Jordan, a press release said here today.
At the airport US-Bangla airlines Business Development Director Capt. Lutfor Rahman officially received the two aircraft , those will receive the US-bangla Airline Livery and registration soon .
In a drive of expansion, the carrier also a plans to add the Long range Airbus 330-200/300 aircraft to operate flights from Dhaka to Jeddah, Riyadh and Medina in June 2022.
Currently, the airline operates international flights to Kolkata, Chennai, Male, Doha, Muscat, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Guangzhou and domestic flight to all destinations within the Bangladesh.
Among the receiving party at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) airport, Dhaka were the senior officials of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and US - Bangla Airlines.
