WestJet says global outage resolved , but hints more disruptions as Passengers bear the Burnt !

Passengers bear the Burnt as a system-wide outage inconvenienced Passengers across the network of WestJet , specifically at YVR (Vancouver) airport.

 

But the airline has released the statement that the system-wide outage that caused delays and cancellations across its entire network has been resolved , but it still expects further disruptions.

 


 

The airline tweeted this morning that all its systems were online and stable, and that teams were busy working to recover from the outage.

 
 

When the problem started affecting the operation due to the said outage , WestJet had said ,

We are still working to bring all systems online. Unfortunately impacts are still being felt across our operations and we’re sincerely sorry for the disruption.

 

Later , the Calgary-based airline said that the outage prevented its contact centre from accessing guest reservations . However, No fitting reason for the system outage was revealed by the carrier.

 
 

Despite being back online, the airline says it anticipates further disruptions as it recovers from the outage. It is also apologizing to customers for the inconvenience.

 

One WestJet Passenger Stephanie Wickham said , 

Dear @WestJet I’m tired. I missed my connection because of delays and I’ve gotten no email for anything. And now I’m standing in a line praying I can get a flight from YYC to my home that I originally paid for. I’m on the verge of a breakdown in the middle of the airport
