Planned to be launched in 2024 , ANA Group Subsidiary 'AirJapan' has unveiled the Cabin seats, uniforms, and boarding music .

  • All seats are economy class with 324 seats ,the seat pitch is 32 inches (approximately 81 centimeters) , which is larger than that of regular economy class seats .
  • The uniform has a borderless design that allows for variations in coordination regardless of gender, with the aim of promoting the active participation of diverse human resources .
  • The boarding music is "Ai", which was born from the "Tokyo University of the Arts x AirJapan Industry-Academia Collaboration Project" . 
  • Passengers are warmly welcomed into the cabin with Japanese sounds such as shakuhachi and koto .

ANA Group, is preparing for the launch of the new international brand "AirJapan" announced in March last year. Seats, uniforms, and boarding music (in-flight BGM) have been decided.

 

ANA Group says,

"AirJapan" utilizes the business know-how of FSC (full service carrier) and LCC (low cost carrier) that ANA Group has accumulated, and is based on the brand concept of "Fly Thoughtful," offering high-quality and comfortable cabin space at an affordable price. "

"We will provide Going forward, we plan to enter service to Southeast Asia in February 2024. In addition, we will gradually expand the number of routes we operate, mainly on Asian routes."

 

ANA Group has decided to keep the seating arrangement spacious and comfortable , comparing to similar standards in the industry.All seats are economy class with 324 seats. 

 

The seats that customers touch are made of high-quality leather made in Japan, which is soft to the touch, lightweight and durable, considering comfort. A generous 32-inch seat pitch and deep reclining design ensure comfort.

  •  Equipped with Type-A and Type-C USB ports and a tablet holder for smartphones and tablet devices.
  • Design is by Acumen, a British design company that creates innovative and sophisticated designs, and seat manufacturing is by Safran, a supplier that provides seats to airlines around the world with high value-added solutions.
 

On Cabin crew uniform ANA says , In order to deliver "Thoughtful" to customers, cabin attendants proceeded with the concept from the planning stage based on the concept of "friendly to all", such as valuing the individuality of the cabin crew and using environment-friendly uniforms. 

 

The uniform will have a borderless design that allows for variations in coordination and can be worn as oneself, regardless of gender.

 
 
  • Variations have been added to the uniform range so that flight attendants can freely dress in their own way. There are two types of bottoms, skirts and pants, the length of the hem of the pants can be adjusted, and shoes can be selected from either sneakers or leather shoes.
  • Incorporating the traditional Japanese culture of "musubi" and "layering", the design is designed so that customers can feel "Japaneseness" from the moment they board. “Knot” is a brand-colored obi belt, and “layering” expresses the beautiful appearance of overlapping naturally with the hem of the skirt and the front and sleeves of the top.
  • In addition to using plant-derived raw materials for some of the fabrics used, in response to the “clothing loss problem”, some jackets and bottoms are shared items, minimizing the use of resources. increase.
 

The in-flight BGM was composed from the "Tokyo University of the Arts x AirJapan Industry-Academia Collaboration Project". The song title is "Ai". The Japanese tones of the shakuhachi and koto  plans to welcome the passengers onboard.

 
 

Toward the production of original boarding music for Air Japan, the “Tokyo University of the Arts x AirJapan Industry-Academia Collaboration Project” was launched, and was selected from a large number of students and graduates of Tokyo University of the Arts in a composition competition.
