Recently, a Pegasus Airlines aircraft from Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Dalaman had five hours of delays, which led to reports of two passengers passing out from exhaustion.

 

Sources said that the cabin crew and the pilot, scheduled to operate the Sabiha Gökçen-Dalaman flight, had left the plane, claiming the conclusion of their planned shift, which aviation industry terms as Flight Time Limitations (FTL).

 

FOOD REQUESTS NOT MET

 

During the hours long wait onboard an Airbus A320 plane, passengers reportedly asked for water and sandwiches to quench their thirst, but their demands were allegedly not sufficiently fulfilled.

 

Passengers complained and shouted "we want food", an announcement was made that they would be distributing free refreshments.

 

Two passengers allegedly fainted as a result of the scenario, with a new crew waiting owing to the prolonged delay. Passengers were shown on camera complaining about the protracted wait, and several of them kept complaining because they were dehydrated.

 
 

The Pegasus Airlines event sparked a significant response on social media. Many people expressed concern about the absence of a "Emergency Action Plan" to handle situations like this, and they criticized the airline for leaving customers hungry and thirsty during the protracted delay.

 

Several comments brought up the regular delays on Pegasus flights to Dalaman, indicating a more widespread problem with the airline's scheduling and operations.

 

Some customers expressed their own grievances with Pegasus, presenting a widely shared video as proof of ongoing issues with their travels.

 

COCKPIT CREW AND STAFF LEFT AFTER WORKING HOURS

 

As the passengers became increasingly tense and uncomfortable, the pilot and cabin crew who were to operate the flight left the plane as their working hours were over.

 

Users criticized the crew's choice to leave the plane after their shift finished, stating that it was inappropriate considering the situation the passengers were in.

 

They maintained that rather than abandoning the aircraft, the crew ought to have remained to handle the problem.
