On June 10, 2023, a Thai Airways Airbus A330-300 plane collided with an EVA Air A330-300 aircraft near the Runway 16R of Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan at around 11:00 a.m. local time.

 
 

The Airbus A330-300 aircraft (HS-TEO) of Thai Airways was operating Flight TG683 from Haneda Airport, Tokyo, Japan to the destination Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thailand , while the  EVA Air Airbus A330-300 aircraft was operating flight BR183, destined to Thai Pesong Shan Airport, Taiwan.

 

The collision occurred at the 3,000-meter Runway 16R at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan this morning, forcing the runway to be closed owing to the situation and debris of the damaged wings.

 

 

Japan's transport ministry said two planes collided near a taxiway at Tokyo's Haneda airport this morning. While no injuries were reported as a result of the incident that occurred on a taxiway at around 11 a.m., Thai Airways confirmed that a winglet on its plane had been damaged.

 

The Tokyo airport authority sent the concerned staff to inspect the incident site of the runway that was closed temporarily. Initially, there were no reports of injuries or any such developments.

 

The closed runway resumed operation after about 2 hours . Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways said their domestic and some international flights would be delayed today.

 

 

The planes involved, operated by Thai Airways and Taiwan's Eva Airways, were carrying 260 and 200 passengers and crew, respectively, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
