Indian LCC IndiGo airlines has been fined Rs 5 lakh ($6,435) by aviation regulator DGCA for denying the boarding to a specially-abled child at Ranchi airport on May 7th as a result of improper handling.
DGCA India released to press ,
“The compassionate behavior of the ground staff would not only have brought the situation under control, but by pacifying the child, he would not have been denied boarding nor would such dire situations have arisen."
On May 9th , the Indian regulator DGCA had constituted a three-member team to probe the incident .

Earlier , IndiGo had said on May 9th that the boy was not allowed to board the Ranchi-Hyderabad flight as he appeared to be in panic.
