Canada Jetlines the new, all-Canadian, leisure airline, has received its air operating certificate (AOC) from Transport Canada , granting approval to initiate operations out of its travel hub at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).
The carrier was desperately waiting for this, for the promised first flight on 15th August 2022 , but in the absence of AOC , the inaugural flight that had to be tentatively rescheduled for August 29, 2022.
Canada Jetlines is excited about this , as it says , " Securing the AOC confirms that Canada Jetlines has all required professional capabilities and adheres to all safety regulations needed for aircraft operations . Canada Jetlines looks forward to its inaugural flight and will be releasing new destinations and updated scheduling shortly."

Earlier on July 5th, 2022, Canada Jetlines had operated it's demonstration flight from the Region of Waterloo International airport to Greater Moncton Roméo Leblanc International airport and back , to the satisfaction of Transport Canada inspectors.
Based on the demonstration flight , Canada Jetlines had officially announced its first flight to Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport (YQM) , scheduled for August 15, 2022, as one of the carrier’s first routes , but things did not materialized as it could not secure the AOC .
