After the Letter of intent (LOI) in the month of April , Abu Dhabi Aviation board approves sending an acquisition offer to Falcon Aviation Services (FAS).
Today, the company announced that the board of directors has decided to send a written takeover offer to Falcon Aviation Services, an aviation services provider.
The acquisition of FAS is part of Abu Dhabi Aviation’s strategic plan to expand and enhance assets and revenues, according to an earlier disclosure of Company to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).
Abu Dhabi Aviation is the largest commercial helicopter operator in the Middle East, operating and owning 58 aircraft in total comprising 51 helicopters. (16 AgustaWestland AW139s, 22 Bell 412s, 12 Bell 212s, 1 EC-135), and 7 fixed-wing aircraft (DHC-8).
The company employs over 1000 personnel, including 130 pilots and 250 engineers. The bulk of the company's business activity is in support of Abu Dhabi offshore oil and engineering and construction companies.
Other business activities include medical evacuation, aerial construction, survey, photography, charter, and providing VVIP passenger transportation services.
The company said in a statement to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, which will announce developments in the completion of the transaction.
Falcon Aviation was established in 2006, under the initiative of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates. FAS is located at Abu Dhabi’s Al Bateen Executive Airport and Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport.
Falcon Aviation provides Operational and Aviation Support Services that include Oil and Gas Aviation Support, Maintenance Repair & Overhauling (MRO), bespoke Business Jets Charters Services and Helicopter Sightseeing Tours, Fixed Base Operator (FBO), Aircraft Management Services and Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAMO), Heliport Management and Inspection, among others.

Affected by Pandemic in 2020, the Abu Dhabi Aviation had filed a 28.2% decrease in the annual profit attributable to the owners to AED 176.815 million, compared with AED 246.194 million in 2019.
