Lagos - based upcoming airline Green Africa has received it's First Aircraft , an ATR 72-600 ! Aircraft was Leased from ACIA Aero Leasing , and arrived at Lagos Murtala Muhammed airport on 23rd April .
The Aircraft arrived with a temporary South African registration ZS-XZD and the same will be registered as 5N-GAD under Nigerian registry .
Green Africa plans to operate with three aircrafts initially , all of them being leased from ACIA Aero Leasing , a subsidiary of Mauritius-based ACIA Aero Capital.
Other two aircrafts (5N-GAA and 5N-GAE) have already been painted in Green Africa livery , and these aircrafts were part of Azul airlines fleet earlier.

“Arrival of our first aircraft is a precursor to the completion of our AOC process,” he says. “Very soon, customers from across Nigeria will be able to make bookings on our website and take their first flight with Green Africa.”
Turboprops for Now ! But , Green Africa has been behind TurboFans from last year ! It had unveiled a preliminary plan of 50 Airbus A220s last year and up to 100 Boeing B737 Max 8s.
