Tahlequah Fire Department responded to a single-engine aircraft crash at the Tahlequah Municipal Airport yesterday (30th april) morning around 7:30 a.m.
The pilot of the Air Tractor AT-301 aircraft, who received substantial injuiries , attempted the landing for the purpose of refuelling .
He rolled on the landing strip, but the aircraft ( Regd.N8774S) speed was at the faster side.

Authorities say the pilot tried to apply the brakes, but the aircraft fliped over itself and came to a rest upside down.
“Firefighters found the pilot was crawling out of the plane," said Chief Casey Baker of the Tahlequah Fire Department. "They assisted him in getting out of the plane. He had trauma to his head and neck area."
Safety officers said, the pilot was sent to a Tulsa hospital.
The airport was closed for a few hours as crews cleaned up that also included the accident fuel leakage containment.
Circumstances of the crash are yet to be revealed, the FAA will take over the investigation into the crash.
