A 34 years old McDonnell Douglas MD-87 did a runway excursion and burst into flames in a field near Houston Executive Airport (KTME) , TX while making an attempt to take off on 19th October.
All 21 occupants were safely evacuated with two passengers receiving non fatal injuiry.

The aircraft (N987AK) ,that took off from runway 36 at Houston Executive Airport (KTME) was destined to Boston-Logan International Airport, MA (BOS).
The aircraft owned by '987 Investments' crossed through a fence and hit the powerlines before it came to a rest about 500 m past the end of the runway.
Sources say , the aircraft could not rotate and tried to stop but with out deploying (could not deploy) the thrust reversers.
Immediately after the Imapct to the powerlines , Thick smoke and fire was visble , before the fire engines could intervene !
