Delta flight DL8944, that was carrying Utah Jazz players did an Air turn back at SLC ( Salt Lake City ) International airport after a flock of birds strike the Aircraft Fuselage and Engine number 1, prompting IFSD (In flight Shut Down).
Data says, the Aircraft had attained an altitude of 8,750 feet during the take off act, when it decided to return back to SLC declaring emergency landing.
The pictures after landing shows a severe form of damage to the Nose Radome and Engine number -1 inlet cowl of the Aircraft . Damages have also been seen on the Engine Fan blades and Right hand side fan cowl of same engine.

Aircraft did a safe landing at Salt Lake City Airport about 15 minutes after departure. Reoprtedly, aircraft was doing a Chartered flight to Memphis carrying the Utah Jazz players .
Earlier , FL360aero had reported the Delta Boeing 757 Air turn back to Salt lake city (SLC) on tuesday due to engine#1 issue. , as the event was happening live.
