An All Nippon Airways (ANA ) Boeing B787-9 was cruising at 38000 ft (FL380) over Russian air space, when cockpit crew observed warnings of Low oil pressure and Low oil quantity indication of Number# 1 engine.
They had to shut down (IFSD) the affected engine of the aircraft (JA872A), that was performing a flight NH-203 [ Tokyo Haneda (Japan) to Frankfurt (Germany) ] with 69 passengers and 10 crew onboard on 4th april 2021.
Subsequently, cockpit decided to land at nearest airport and they took clearance for Krasnojarsk international Airport (KJA) ,Russia. Aircraft descended to 32000 Ft (FL320) within 30 minutes time, while making a 90 degree turn for the diverted landing.
Aircraft landed safely at KJA, after an elapsed flight time of approx. 2 hours 10 minutes from the IFSD incident at FL380 enroute .No further safety issues have been reported after that .
The crew received indications of low oil quantity and subsequently low oil pressure for the left hand engine and diverted to Krasnojarsk.
