31.7  years old  Delta's Boeing  B757-232 aircraft with PW PW2037 engines does air turn back (ATB) from  8,750 feet  due to Engine#1 snag.

31.7 years old Delta's Boeing B757-232 aircraft with PW PW2037 engines does air turn back (ATB) from 8,750 feet due to Engine#1 snag.

Just happened - Delta flight DL8944 did an Air turn back at SLC ( Salt Lake City ) due to Engine No#1 snag . External visual shows signs of Outboard fan case being damaged during the take off.

Aircraft had attained an altitude of 8,750 feet during the take off act, when it decided to return back to SLC .

 

Aircraft did it's first flight on 05/07/1989 and comes installed with  two PW PW2037 engines . Reason and circumstances of snag are yet to be found !
