In an order value of $1.8 billion, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise is set to acquire 15 new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft from the Seattle based Aircraft manufacturer.
After re-certification , the Boeing grounded few of its B737 Max aircrafts (in service) pending modification to an electrical system owing to ground clearance issues, but it seems , demand for Max aircrafts does not wane.
Irrespective of the pandemic situation, DAE is also keeping itself busy with leasing agreements, that signing 48 new lease deals during the first three months of the year 2021.

At present , DAEhas 162 Boeing aircrafts in its inventory, including the current order. Earlier, DAE had announced the completion of 18 B737 MAX 8 aircrafts to American Airlines.

"Including this order, we own and manage 162 Boeing aircraft - an increasing number of global aviation regulators are returning the MAX to the skies, We are confident in the success of these aircraft as domestic and regional air travel is seeing strong signs of recovery."

With new, more fuel-efficient engines and improved aerodynamics, the 737-8 will use 16% less fuel and significantly reduce emissions per seat compared to airplanes it replaces. The jet can accommodate up to 178 passengers in a two-class configuration and fly 3,550 nautical miles (6570 km), about 600 miles more than its predecessor.
