A lightweight military helicopter (Eurocopter AS 555SN Fennec) owned by the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) had to perform an emergency landing this afternoon at the TLDM naval base in Lumut
In a statement, the Western Fleet Command Headquarters’ strategic communications department said the emergency landing when the helicopter was out on an operations flight.
However, a RMN West Armada spokesman did not reveal the cause of the emergency that took place at around 12pm.
“All the crew involved are uninjured and have been brought to the Navy's hospital for a further check-up
“We have set up an investigation board to determine the cause of the landing,” he said in a statement.
All crews however have been sent to the RMN Hospital for further check-up. No injuries were reported.
