Egypt's Space ambitions taking shape - in the process of announcing it's first ever astronaut.
Ahmed Farag Ali , a professor at the institute of Aviation Engineering and Technology says, Egypt has begun the process & will soon announce its first ever astronaut, after the end of a long & arduous training process.
Statement came, when he was attending a Virtual seminar “Introduction to Space Sciences”, held at the Mechanical Engineering Division of the General Syndicate of Engineers on Tuesday.
Farag was happy with the efforts of Egypt’s entry into the space domain, quoting , "it it is an essential step forward for countries looking to achieve sustainable development."
Against a common belief, Farag also explained, how every penny spent on space exploration is of worth, & returns are exponential revealing many mysteries.
Egypt's Short history of space venture goes as, it Launched 'Nilesat' satellite in 1998 as the first venture, followed by 'Egypt Sat 1' in the year 2007.
Egyptian-Russian cooperation saw the launch of Egypt Sat 2 in 2014 followed by Egypt Sat A in 2019.
