Avoidable Fatal Crash - An witness to the trial of former Isreali Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was killed in a Cessna R182 aircraft crash , due to suspected Oil leak & Complacency !

On Monday, a Cessna R182 Skylane RG II aircraft (Regd. 4X-CHZ) crashed near the eastern Aegean island of Samos killing an witness to trial of former Isreali  Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The crashed Cessna R182 Skylane RG II aircraft was flooded with engine oil before taking off from Haifa-Israel to Greece , the flooded oil that splashed from the engine might have caused the crash on 13th sept !

The victims of the crash were named Haim Garon & his wife, Esti. Haim, a former deputy director of the Communications Ministry, was to be a prosecution witness in the trial of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The bodies of two people have been recovered from the sea after the Israeli light aircraft crashed near the eastern Aegean island of Samos, Greece on Monday evening.

The couple left on Monday afternoon on a flight from Haifa and the accident occurred at around 7:45 p.m.

"We spotted the debris of the aircraft in the sea about a mile south of the airport," according to a Greek coastguard official .

It was initially unclear what the problem was, although evidence seems to suggest a technical fault with the engine.

There could be other probable reasons to the crash, but the evidences indicate that, the crash could have been prevented if the complacent pilot took the engine oil leakage episode seriously on Monday.

Other Pilots in the airport asked the pilot of this ill fated Cessna R182 to get the oil leak fixed by a mechanic but he said it was okay ("I forgot to close the tank"); and eventually he wiped the oil with rags and took off for Greece.
