Both the occupants were killed when an amateur built light aircraft crashed in the Cheremkhovsky district of Irkutsk region.
"A light aircraft fell in a field near Rysevo village," the spokesman specified.
The accident occurred during a training flight, according to reports.
The crash did not affect anybody on the ground as the crash area was isolated .
The emergency services clarified that a technical malfunction could have caused the accident. Investigations are on to find out the circumstances.
