Saturday afternoon saw the crash of a two seater single engine Diamond DA20-A1 aircraft in the vicinity of the Sabadell airport, Barcelona as the plane made an impact on the tracks of the commuter train to city.
Aircraft registered as EC-MOF belonged to the Centro de Estudios Superiores de la Aviación (CESDA) was doing a training flight , that ended in the crash landing near the tracks.
Initial reports suggest that the accident occurred when the pilot was trying to land at the Sabadell airport due to low oil pressure.
Pilot has been transferred to the hospital as per sources. Further reports awaited.
