We may see a "Crack " in the "Ice" between Airbus and Qatar Airways , owing to some form of communication continuing between them .

"Crack " in the "Ice" between Airbus and Qatar Airways ?

Latest development is , there is some form of communication , details of which is not known to media , are continuing between them . Both the sides are optimistic some a solution , rather a settlement , which again need not end after a court verdict.

But , at the same time , both the parties are still unwilling to let their guard down , that protects their interest from the ongoing legal dispute.

On the sidelines of IATA's 78th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS), leaders of both the companies showed some signs towards a constructive result on the bitter legal between them owing to A350 Fuselage paint degradation issues.

Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury said,

“There’s progress in the sense that we are communicating; we are working with each other.”

“We are in a difficult place, but we in Airbus are really willing to find a way out.”

“I think we share the view that a settlement would be a better way forward, but as long as you don’t have an agreement, you have no agreement.”

Story from the same issue...

In the same forum , but at a different time , Qatar Airways GCEO said ,

“We are always open to constructively resolve issues but we cannot accept somebody not following a contract that they’ve signed with us.”

Though , nothing can be said at the moment on a complete settlement Both the sides are heading towards a three-month trial starting in June next year after a British judge called for expedittion, noting it had industry implications globally.
