This day, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev approved the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Aviation that can be seen a significant developement for the industry.
The Law regulates the use of the airspace of the Republic of Azerbaijan and activities in the field of aviation conforming to Article 94, Part I, Clause 23 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and defines the legal and organizational basis of the measures implemented to provide safety in aviation, including state defense, the needs of the population and the economy related to air transportation and aviation work.
The enactment of the 'On Aviation' act marks a pivotal moment in Azerbaijan's approach to managing its airspace and aviation sector. With safety as its cornerstone, the legislation aims to create a regulatory framework that harmonizes state defense requirements with the burgeoning needs of civilian air transport and the economic imperatives of the aviation industry.
To ensure flight safety, Azerbaijan will develop a procedure for control over the use of land and real estate within the airfield territory, as well as the implementation of economic and other activities in the territory.
According to further information related to development of aviation in the country , it was reflected in the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev "On application of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan On Aviation".
The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan have now 9 months time to develop a procedure for exercising control over the use of land and real estate within the airfield territory, as well as the implementation of economic and other activities on this territory to ensure flight safety.
By addressing these critical dimensions here , Azerbaijan is laying the groundwork for a future where air travel is not only safer but also more efficient and aligned with the country's broader strategic objectives.
