Powered by PW1900G engines , Embraer's E190-E2 and E195-E2 aircraft are type certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), having previously been certified by the FAA, EASA, ANAC, CAAC and other global aviation regulators.
Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, must be happy with the development as it's all set induct the aircraft variants aiming to operate the E190-E2 from 2024.
The E190-E2 and E195-E2 were certified by three key civil aviation authorities – the FAA (USA), EASA (Europe) and ANAC (Brazil) in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

The first delivery of the E190-E2, the quietest and most economical aircraft in the jet segment with up to 150 seats, is scheduled for 2024, stemming from Azorra's existing order book with Embraer.

The E190-E2 and the E195-E2 were designed using the 20 million hours of experience the first generation of E-Jets accrued, ensuring that the E2 aircraft are modern and advanced, yet retain the maturity and reliability of the previous generation aircraft. The first-generation of E-Jets is one of the most successful commercial aircraft programs in the industry flying with more than 80 airlines in 50 countries.
For Scoot's interest, the E190-E2 is part of the next generation of Embraer's E-Jets E2 family of commercial aircraft, which entered service in 2018. Airlines such as KLM, Porter and Azul already operate E2 and new operators, including Royal Jordanian, Salam Air and TUI, have been announced recently.
Recently, Embraer and CAE announced the establishment in Singapore of a state-of-the-art E2 full flight simulator and pilot training program, which will commence operations by the end of this year. The full flight simulator is based at the Singapore-CAE Flight Training Centre which is located at SIA Training Centre.
In September this year, Scoot has signed a Pool Program services agreement with Embraer for the support of the airline’s incoming fleet of nine E190-E2 jets.
