Big Fat Bill exceeding $100,000 awaits the Volga-Dnepr Antonov An-124 aircraft stuck at Toronto Pearson  International Airport !

Big Fat Bill exceeding $100,000 awaits the Antonov An-124 aircraft (RA-82078) of Volga-Dnepr , that has been grounded at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ/CYYZ), Canada, rather got stuck there since February 27th.

Operated by Volga-Dnepr Airlines , the Antonov An-124 arrived into Canada to deliver COVID-19 test kits from China , via  Anchorage  and  Russia .

The aircraft had planned to depart Toronto shortly after arriving in Canada , but was unable to fly due to restrictions applied by Canadian Government owing to Russian Invasion of Ukraine.

About the location , earlier , the aircraft was parked on Taxiway N of Toronto  Airport (YYZ) , but later a towing action was noticed involving the aircraft.

Being billed at an approx. rate of $C1066 per day as parking fine , the aircraft will be staying on the ground in Toronto for sometime from now, as it can't take off due to restricting NOTAMs in Canadian airspace.

Transport Canada had earlier confirmed that the aircraft has been prohibited from departing due to a ban on Russian-owned aircraft in Canadian airspace.

"Transport Canada is aware that there is a Russian aircraft currently grounded in Toronto," "While Transport Canada has not seized any aircraft, the aircraft is unable to depart in Canadian territorial airspace as it would be in violation of the Notice to Airmen or NOTAM, which may lead to enforcement actions taken by Transport Canada."
