Improving Relations between Turkey and Libya to help develop the Civil Aviation sector in Libya by Modernizing the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority infrastructure and functions.
Taking a step further to this, the Turkish General Directorate of Civil Aviation has announced that it will soon start restructuring the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority and training its employees, that will be the reflection of freindship between Turkey and Libya.
The current development was the result of the scope of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in Istanbul on November 7, 2021, which includes technical infrastructure and training enhancement in order to update and implement Libyan civil aviation development plans, according to the Directorate.
It also added that it will expand the exercises on airports, aviation security and ramp control that were previously provided to the employees of the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority, and this year it will focus support on technologies, especially security.
The Libyan Civil Aviation Authority is the government agency of Libya that oversees all civil aviation activities. It regulates all civil aviation activity within the country with regard to safety and security, including all airports, pilots, and aircraft.
Based at Tripoli International Airport in Tripoli, Libyan Civil Aviation Authority also serves as the aircraft accident investigation authority of the country, apart from regular Civil Aviation Regulations.
