Learn More about SLB transaction !

Pandemic has forced the Aviation companies & airlines to sale their assets to raise the their Liquidity levels & stay afloat during the Tough time .

So, SLB transaction is an effective tool for the carriers to release their capital that is locked up as equity in, e.g. , an aircraft or other asset.

How does SLB transaction Happen ?

  • First step -  the airline or carrier sells the asset(s) to a leasing company or finance house. Assets can be ' a whole aircraft' or 'engines', sometimes it may also include spares, or other related assets.
  • Second step - After closing the sale transaction, the airline receives the negotiated sale price of the asset(s) and at the same time, it enters into a lease agreement to lease back the same asset(s) or Aircraft from the lessor.

This practice allows airlines to unlock cash (representing the airline’s equity in the metal) while still being able to use the asset in its operations.
