Afghanistan's Kabul Airport is about 90% ready for operations but its re-opening is planned gradually, a Qatari official said on Thursday.
Not only for the transit flights through the Kabul airspace, reopening the airport will be a vital lifeline for the rest of the world, not affected by this chaos; and across Afghanistan's mountainous territory that depends on the international trade.
