Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) asks Transit Flights to Avoid Kabul airspace , Air India and others Complied with Longer routes !

Like many other Flights, Terra Avia Boeing B747-400 ( Flight # TVR750 from Baku (GYD) to Delhi (DEL) ) entered the Kabul Airspace , but was denied further entry , the aircraft made an U-turn avoiding  Afghanistan to proceed to Pakistan and at the moment , its still enroute to Delhi. 

 

Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) declared early today, that Kabul airspace had been under the military control and it advised transit aircraft to reroute, according to a NOTAM on its website.

 

ACAA said any transit through Kabul airspace would be uncontrolled and it had advised the surrounding flight information regions that control airspace. Kabul Airport Civil side has also been closed to Public indefinitely.

 
  • It is to be noted that , Kabul's flight information region covers all of the Afghanistan.
 


 

Air India flight from Chicago to Delhi had changed course as it was denied further access to Kabul Air space and had to exit after entering, while Delhi -London (VS301) avoided the Afghanistan Air space.

In the mean while chaos in the Kabul  Airport continues , as thousands of  Afghanistani citizens try to flee the country.
