Aiming Gatwick , Norse Atlantic Airways has signed employment agreement with Pilot's Association BALPA , after Boeing’s 'digital solutions' and 'Rolls-Royce TotalCare' !

Not only aircraft as assets , the February 2021 founded carrier is investing in operations and related verticals to get maximum out of it's business in United Kingdom - the New UK Airline Norse Atlantic Airways has signed new employment agreement with pilots !

British Airline Pilots Association - BALPA said ,

BALPA is pleased to announce that it has reached a new employment agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways that benefits both our members and the airline.

Our negotiating team welcomes Norse to the UK and will work with the airline to provide rewarding long-term careers for our members, flying Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to destinations in the US.

As the carrrier expands it's transatlantic routes from London Gatwick (LGW) aiming a date 12th  August  2022 , it realizes the need of flight crews for it's Dreamliners , which will eventually be supplied from the pool of BALPA members, possible by such Collaborations !

It definitely makes sense to make an early agreement, if United Kingdom air operator's certificate (AOC) is to be held in future and a continuous supply of crews to it's expansion is to be made uninterrupted.

Apart from staffing solutions , Norse Atlantic Airways is also investing for a hassle free operations , as it has selected several of Boeing’s 'digital solutions' to streamline operations and increase flight deck efficiency , apart from signing a 'Rolls-Royce TotalCare' services agreement for its fleet of 15 Trent 1000-powered Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes.

With Boeing’s 'digital solutions' , Norse will integrate Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro, Ground Controls and Tailored Maps, Aviator — FliteBrief , Onboard Performance Tool (OPT) and Ops Data and FMS NavData to support their new B787 fleet as part of a five-year agreement that covers the entire fleet.

Mentioned digital tools will help flight crews to perform real-time weight and balance and takeoff and landing calculations that further reduce the maintenance costs, optimise payload capacity , and streamline the cockpit operations.

By choosing the Rolls-Royce TotalCare maintenance option , Norse Atlantic Airways has opted to transfer the management of engine maintenance, along with its associated risks and cost , to Rolls-Royce.

Martin Chalk, General Secretary for BALPA said “Norse has proven to be a standout employer, valuing core principles such employee engagement, a competitive pay and benefit package and vital union collaboration.  Consultation and dialogue seem natural to Norse , which we believe will contribute to a highly successful business.”

Norse Atlantic's CEO Bjorn Tore Larsen said, “The professionalism demonstrated by the BALPA team is exactly what we are looking for in Norse and we are pleased to have developed a strong relationship based on open communication that will benefit both their members and our business now and in the future.”

Norse has been checking it's employee resources pretty well ! It has learnt , post pandemic take off is not going to be easy , given the trends of industrial actions being taken by aviation workers and flight crews across Europe !

This week in Ft. Lauderdale , the carrier celebrated the graduation of it's latest cabin crew class ! Not only collaborations,  It's keeping them engaged - "Congratulations and welcome to the Norse family !"
