A 35 years old Jayawijaya Dirgantara Boeing B737-300F freighter did a Runway excursion beyond the Runway threshold while landing on Jayapura's Sentani International Airport (IATA: DJJ, ICAO: WAJJ) runway 30 at about 09:30LT (Indonesia) .
The aircraft registered as PK-JRB overran the end (Threshold) of the runway and skidded laterally by about 55 meters , before coming to a halt , as the Landing gear wheels got stuck in the soft soil.
The aircraft with SN-20255 , LN:234 was operating a freight flight from Wamena Airport, (IATA: WMX, ICAO: WAVV), Indonesian to Jayapura (Indonesia).
There were no injuries due to the incident , and the aircraft received minor damages, those could be repaired after it was pulled back and towed to the gate.
Cause of the Runway excursion is yet to be determined , however AirNav Indonesia's Director of Operations Mokhammad Khatim has acknowledged the incident .
