" This is a sick marketing stunt by the airline that removed duct tape from cabin in 2014! The “essential” workers on the frontlines deserve support and respect, not to be used as props in this dangerous PR BS. An apology is due @united "

Another Twitter User Quoted by saying ,
I, for one, would be far more reassured if @united announced they were providing FAs with duct tape, zip cuffs, whatever. If someone starts wilding out on my flight, I want there to be things to restrain them with. Solidarity with FAs!

While there were Pro Memo twitter users as well , they tweeted by saying , Duct taping could become Potential medical issue ,
Well duct tapin to a seat or their mouth could be a potential medical issue if CPR was needed or more severe medical attention..plus if we need to evacuate tht person would be lft behind bein unable to remove.

Flex cuffs are wht we have. We also need to see more LE on aircrafts.
Sounds like a marketing stunt by Sara. United is only reminding employees to use approved measures and not deviating or doing things that other airlines are doing.

Jason rabinowitz saw it as a Normal internal Affiar of United Airlines ,
Honestly, though, how is sending an internal memo possibly a "sick marketing stunt?"

Post Leading airlines made News for duct-taping Unruly passengers to their seat inflight to restrain them, United Airlines management came up with an internal memo asking it's Flight attendants not to re-create such practice in United Airlines Flights. The Carrier said,
"Please remember that there are designated items onboard that may be used in difficult situations, and alternative measures such as tape should never be used," the memo read.
Worth noting that , Flight attendants have been passing through a rough phase , as the Number of mid-flight Unruly passenger cases are on rise, after United States eased the Travel rules for the Vaccation deprived Masses.
The Chicago based United airlines memo also asked it's employees to use their best Judgement and De-escalate the situation during such incident ,
The Memo came to the notice after consecutive incidents like American Airlines flight attendants duct taping an Unruly woman trying to open the aircraft’s doors mid- flight and a Frontier airlines Cabin Crew restrained a man in his seat after he behaved Violent and allegedly grabbed an attendant’s Private parts.
The Unruly behavious cases are not new, earlier years like 2003 Honolulu to Los Angeles flight , 2008 Puerto Rico to Chicago and 2017 United flight in Chicago saw many violent exchanges , that has left the Flight attendant Community in a confused state to react to such situations.
