A 13.1 years old JAL Japan Airlines Boeing B777-346ER suffered it's No#2 engine (GE90-115B) failure just after takeoff from Los Angeles at around 4000ft followed by streaks of flames from the exhaust on 15th October.
Aircraft had to dump the required amount of fuel at 6000ft , North of 'Santa Catalina' before returning back for a safe landing at Los Angeles (KLAX).
The aircraft registered as JA740J , S/N 36127 , LN:744 was carrying out a flight 'JA15' from Los Angeles (KLAX) , USA to Tokyo Haneda (HND), Japan .
