Lieutenant García, the first Colombian female pilot of the UH1N helicopter, died in an accident in Quibdó , the accident occurred on the afternoon of this Sunday, March 19, in Quibdó, while they were carrying out supply operations in the department of Chocó.

She had earned it all , at the age of 31 ,she already had a memorable career at the institution, first completing all the relevant studies to finally graduate as a Professional in Military Sciences in 2015, to later continue training in weapons courses. and military specialties such as advanced combat, skydiving, communications and finally to become the first woman to fly this specific type of helicopter.

 

From the Military Forces they stated that it was a great pride for her, her family and her Military Forces who prepared her in the classrooms of the Training and Retraining Battalion of the 25th Aviation Brigade.

 
 

Before being able to qualify as a pilot of this helicopter, Julieth had to go through a phase of quite dense theoretical instructions and at least 20 missions to then move on to a phase of flights where she not only accompanies the already pilots of these aircraft, but also learns to handle all the night vision instruments, activities that the cucuteña managed to learn in an exceptional way.
